Travel + Leisure India & South Asia hosted India’s Best Awards 2018
The Monday evening looked gorgeous as the red carpets rolled and I put forward my black evening shoes. It all looked fancy just after the Diwali weekend, of course, we aren’t over the festivities yet so there we go! The Clinking wine glasses and the gorgeous faces looking to the next announcement as I entered the venue. Today I bring you a short description of what I saw at India’s Best Awards hosted by Travel + Leisure India & South Asia at their 7th edition on the 12th of November at ITC Maurya in New Delhi.
The show was hosted by the actress Ira Dubey and I think she is quite loved since she remarked her performance in movie Aisha as Pinky Bose. Yes, certainly she was the first thing I noticed as soon as I stepped in at the Nandiya Gardens of ITC Maurya, Chanakyapuri.
There were quite a lot of renowned faces from the industry and the Best award for Honeymoon Destination was going on. I was offered a glass of wine which I took instantly and had a big sip and very soon I realised to be courteous and more formal as I was seated between the big names. Oh, and the awards list is mentioned below.
Travel and Leisure conducted the online voting through their website and received 2, 00,000 votes on iba2018.travelandleisureindia.in over a period of three months (between August to October ’18). Travel + Leisure India’s Best Awards recognise key players from the industry where readers cast their votes across various categories — from top hotels, resorts, spas, destinations, airlines, cruise lines, and travel service providers.
The flagship event of Travel + Leisure India & South Asia saw in attendance the crème de la crème of Delhi along with Opinion Leaders from various industries including travel, hospitality, automobile, aviation, Tourism boards, as well as several international dignitaries. With 58 set of awards across different categories that range from the best country, emerging destination, cruise, business hotel, airport, destination spa, and honeymoon destinations in India and across the world, thousands of Travel + Leisure India & South Asia’s discerning readers voted robustly and the competition was very close in most categories.
