6 Post HOLI Essentials, You Must Do! Happy Holi :D

Hey guys, hope you all had a great holi!! Playing Holi is fun but with the frolic comes damage to skin , nails and hair by chemicalised colours, that’s such a bummer. Well, the fun and games are over and now it’s time to hit back to work after a long weekend. I am sure everyone of you has some shades of pink, green, blue still on them.

Catchnow Delhi brings you 6 things to do post holi and how to get rid of all colours from your skin and hair!

  1. Wash colors with lukewarm water from your skin. Thereafter apply a few drops of glycerine on face and hands to retain the moisture.
  2. Use rosewater mixture with hydrogen peroxide to clean your hands and feet. Dip your hands and feet in this mixture. After washing your face gently with water, clean it with olive oil to get rid of colors.
  3. If bathing for an hour hasn’t helped you, then try some homemade recipes which are very effective in getting rid of colors.
  • Mix gram flour and milk cream with honey to form a paste. Apply it on your body and leave it for sometime. Wash it off with warm water and your color will come off easily while also leaving your skin hydrated.
     
  1. Apply plenty of moisturizer after taking bathe to prevent the skin from dryness. After going through harsh chemicals in the colors, your skin needs some love too. So grab your favourite moisturizer and get going.
  2. Detox your body. After having samosa and gujiya, your body definitely needs some detoxification. Homemade healthy smoothies are the best way to rejuvenate your body. It will also help you get rid of the hangover.
  3. Pamper your tresses back to silky shine. If you oiled your hair well a night before the holi, then the color shouldn’t get stuck in your scalp. A thorough wash is all you need to slide all the colors. Also, to retain the shine you can use a hair mask with ingredients easily available in your kitchen. Mix together 1 egg yolk, 1 tbsp honey and 2 tbsp olive oil and apply it on your scalp upto tips after you have shampooed out the color. Leave the mixture for 10-15 minutes rinse off with warm water.
