Fashion Design Council of India collaborated with Inherit for a fashion soiree at Sunder Nursery Heritage Park, Nizamuddin on 7th and 8th December, 2019. Inherit festival saw participation by over 100 exhibitors who showcased their creations in the field of craft, design, fashion, lifestyle and heritage tourism at the event.
Designer Suman Nathwani and Creative Director Khyati Nathwani unveiled their Summer Art Soiree Collection at InHerit too along with other 21 Designers. Their colour palette comprised earthy tones and they promoted sustainable fabrics like muslin, which is practiced from centuries in Bengal and exported around the world. Along with muslin fabrics, organza was seen to accentuate the silhouette.
Designer Suman Nathwani quoted “The collection is an amalgamation of the breath of freshness with a whimsical arty wardrobe. A fresh dewy earthy tone pallet, accentuated with color techniques and fanciful elements shapeless silhouettes that define comfort yet is every bit artistically fashionable”
“The collection draws inspiration from one of the art capitals of the world Santa Fe, New Mexico. Staying true to its art of mixology, the collection converts the nature’s wonders into artistic backdrops silhouettes being its canvas. Signature dragonflies add to our story of the whimsy. Sequins we have a lot of them but filled not embroidered. Tassels inspired from the history of New Mexican Indians and tiny real-time flowers creating statements”, said Khyati Nathwani, Creative Director.
I actually liked the collection it’s very classy. I am glad sustainable fashion is gaining precedence.

What I really liked about the designs is the fact that they are so versatile and practical. One could carry them in day to day life and style them them in different ways.
