Rakhi! Don’t we all wait for this the entire year? My childhood memories of this day comprise of getting up early morning, dressing up in all new traditional clothes and then most of all, the tradition of tying the Rakhi (well receiving gifts in return too :P). We all have grown up now and settled in different parts of the cities/states and even world, sadly the tradition seems to fade away. The modern day ritual is just to courier the sacred thread with a sweet beautiful card.
The other day I came across this Amazon ad and realised how beautifully they have depicted the importance of expressing love and care by meeting our siblings in person. No matter how old we grow, the love remains intact and meeting them always take us to the flashback and leave us nostalgic.
This ad is a sweet story of an old man who wishes to visit his sister this rakhi. And the son insists on sending the gift via amazon. And how beautifully his father explains that he won’t be able to see the beautiful smile on his sister’s face and her precious “toye”, if he just sends the gift!
So let all of us #deliverthelove this rakhi kyuki gifts toh amazon deliver kar hi dega 🙂
